Matylda Sloupová

Matylda graduated from the Faculty of Education at Charles University where she studied primary school with a focus on music education. She furthered her education at the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies (ČVUT) in the field of Methodology for English Language Teachers. Matylda gained extensive teaching experience at various state schools, worked in a small community school and in a state language school. She lived in America for a year before maternity leave. Before joining the Beehive team, she worked at an international school, where, in addition to the Czech language and homeland studies, she also taught Czech to foreigners. During her teaching practice, she completed a number of extension courses for teachers: Creative School - Activity Learning, Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking, Methodology for Effective Involvement of Interactive boards in Teaching, Mathematical Environments of Hejný Maths, Systemic pedagogy. From the 2023/24 school year, she also works in the position of deputy director and is part of Beehive's student support team as a school preventist. She likes to do things correctly and 100%, which is why she is currently completing her education at the Faculty of Pedagogy of Charles University. She lives with her family with whom she enjoys being active, she has a husband who cooks well, two children, a dog and two parrots. Matylda's interests include culture, she loves ballet and does not miss a single year of the festival of the contemporary circus Letní Letná. She actively practices dance, body combat, and she loves to read and travel.
