Unique Educational Curriculum

We combine the best of the British curriculum and Czech syllabi into a unique programme. We provide dynamic education that develops not only academic knowledge but also practical skills.

Exploring the World Around Us

At Beehive, children learn to explore the world with enthusiasm. We develop their ability to learn, solve problems, and communicate. We spend a lot of time outdoors! Your child will get to know nature up close, care for plants, and learn mathematics or a foreign language in the fresh air.

We Learn English

English is a natural part of our day. Children learn a foreign language effortlessly thanks to subjects taught in English. From Year 3, they can also discover Spanish! Bilingual education broadens children's horizons and prepares them for the future.

Together We Create a School Community

We create a friendly and safe environment where pupils, parents, and teachers collaborate. We value open communication and mutual respect. We regularly organise events and meetings that you, as parents, can participate in.

Active Relaxation in the After-School Club

For relaxation after lessons, we have prepared a safe and inspiring environment in our after-school club. Under the guidance of predominantly native speakers, pupils develop their skills in English. Children learn to collaborate, communicate in groups, and respect the work of others. Our programmes support creative thinking, logical reasoning, and independence.

Leisure Activities with Beru kroužky

For the second year already, we have successfully cooperated with the company Beru kroužky, which presented itself to parents on the first day of school. This company offers many afternoon activities for children and can also prepare a "turnkey" activity at the parents' request. This year, two activities opened for our school: Robotics and Little Kitchen. We are constantly expanding our offer and reaching out to other entities as well.

FAQ

What time do you start and finish lessons?

The first lesson starts at 8:45 am. Lessons then finish at 3:05 pm, and on some days at 2:10 pm, depending on the year group. Children arrive at school between 8:00 am and 8:40 am. After lessons finish—either at 3:05 pm or 2:10 pm—clubs and the after-school care begin.

Will pupils have to wear a school uniform?

Yes, from Year 1, pupils wear school uniforms. We offer ceremonial uniforms as well as everyday school uniforms. Our online uniform shop operates around the clock, and parents can purchase various accessories like knee-high socks or hair clips. For boys, the uniform consists of grey trousers, a white shirt, and a red jumper or blue vest. The uniform for girls includes a dark skirt or trousers, a white shirt, and a red jumper. For sports activities, pupils wear a tracksuit, polo shirts, and fleece jackets with the school's name.

How does enrolment work at your school?

For admitting a child to our primary school, their school readiness is a priority. The aim of the enrolment process is to determine the child's level of physical and mental preparedness for starting school. During enrolment, our teachers, school psychologist, and special education teacher work with the children. The process focuses on academic potential, enabling the child to successfully acquire school skills and knowledge. Knowledge of English is not decisive for admission; however, the child's level or aptitude for languages can be an important factor. By agreement and after passing entrance tests and interviews, it's possible to admit a child to a higher year of primary school.

Does the school provide children with lunches and snacks?

The school collaborates with a catering company that delivers lunches and snacks daily. Parents can choose from two lunch options in our EduPage system. We prioritise healthy nutrition for children and ensure they have fruit and vegetables every day. Adequate hydration is a given at our school.

Does the school offer interest clubs?

Yes, our school collaborates with Beru kroužky, so afternoon activities are led by professional external specialists. Each year, we offer clubs based on the current interests of parents. In previous years, we've offered a science experiments club, chess club, and Little Chef, among others.

Is there a psychologist working at the school?

Yes, as part of our School Counselling Centre (SCC), our school has a psychologist who regularly visits Beehive two days a week and works closely with teaching staff and class groups.

Will the school organise outdoor education or foreign trips for pupils?

Yes, at the very beginning of the school year, we offer all children a multi-day teambuilding event, followed by a winter outdoor school with skiing and a spring outdoor school with swimming for Years 2 and 3. In higher years, children can travel abroad together with pupils from our sister primary school, Square. The trip abroad includes learning at a foreign school.
