Enrolment in 1st grade
Enrolment for the 1st grade of the 2026/27 school year will take place on January 16th and January 17th 2026 at Beehive School, Na Šafránce 9, Prague 10. If you are unable to attend the enrolment in-person on the given date, it will be possible to arrange an individual meeting.
Upon receipt of the application, parents will be notified of the details of enrolment day.
When accepting a child into our primary school, the child's school readiness is a priority. The goal of enrolment day is to determine the child's level of physical and mental readiness for school entry.
Our teachers, a school psychologist and a special-education teacher work with children during the session. Enrolment focuses on the study prerequisites that enable the child to successfully acquire school skills and knowledge. Knowledge of the English language is not decisive for admission to our school, however, English level or talent for languages can be an important factor. If your child will not turn 6 by September 1st, 2025, it is possible to admit them child to first grade after agreement and passing entrance tests and interviews.

When deciding to admit a child, we consider:
1. The child's presence at enrolment day is ideal.
2. When registering, children earn points that determine the order of selection for first grade:
a) Alignment with Beehive's vision
b) School readiness/maturity
c) Sibling attending Beehive School
d) Previous attendance at the Bambíno kindergarten
3. In case of equality of points, the order will be determined by drawing lots.
Yes. If the legal representatives are not located in the Czech Republic and cannot attend the registration in person, it is possible to complete the registration online by arrangement.
To register, you must have an ID card or passport (in the case of foreigners) of one of the legal guardians and the child's birth certificate. We also require that children draw a picture of their family at home and bring it with them to registration.
The school will inform you via email within 2 weeks of registration.
